Hartland Lodge 59

Hartland Lodge 59 in Bideford, Devon. Woolsery is an attractive village, set within the unspoiled rolling North Devon countryside. The village is bordered by wonderful coastlines and country walks, and its history can be traced back to before the Domesday Book. The heart of the village was built around its Norman Church and there are many small festivals and fairs throughout the year, including the ‘Woolsery Show’, which has been established since the 1800’s. Woolsery is also famous for its cheese. A trip to the local dairy will show you cheeses handmade using traditional methods using fresh goat’s and cow’s milk to produce a range of cheeses, from soft through to hard. Woolsery village is within easy reach of the sandy beaches of Westward Ho and the fishing village of Instow and Appledore. Nearby, you can also visit Clovelly with its steep cobbled streets and Hartland & Stoke with their Abbey and church, whilst surf-enthusiasts will appreciate the well-known surfing centre of Bude.

Dimmingsdale in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Set just 15 minute’s walk from the pedestrian entrance to Alton Towers theme park, the lovely little hamlet of Ramshorn is situated in beautiful green woodland. With rides aimed at everyone, Alton Towers is a great place to visit throughout the whole year and the park doesn’t just cater for thrill seekers. The on site golf course, the waterpark at Cariba Creek and the Alton Towers Spa - with ‘Pamper Day’ packages available – are all well worth visiting. Danby also boasts the ruins of a 14th Century castle and the only remaining working water mill on the River Esk. The scenic Esk Valley Railway line runs through the village on its way to Whitby. No 26 Tattershall Country Park in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. Nestling between the Fens and the Wolds in the heart of Lincolnshire, is Tattershall Lakes Country Park. Tattershall Park consists of 325 acres offering woodlands, lakes and open spaces along with sporting opportunities. There is a 60 acre water skiing and wakeboarding lake, a 45 acre jet skiing lake, a 9 hole golf course, four lakes covering all aspects of coarse fishing, two bars, one with lake views, a restaurant, children's play area and on site supermarket. Lincoln is within easy travelling distance, with its cathedral, castle and shopping or spend a day exploring the coast, visiting nature reserves at Donna Nook and Gibraltar Point.
